Account Deletion Policy

This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your Charger on Wheels (COW) account and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to the Charger on Wheels (COW) app operated by Roving Salvatory Technologies Private Limited(“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account directly within the app:

  1. Open the Charger on Wheels app and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account.
  3. Review the information shown, then confirm your request.

If you are unable to access the app, you may also request deletion by emailing contact@chargeronwheels.in from your registered email address. We may verify your identity before processing the request.

2. Before Your Account Can Be Deleted

To protect your service and any payments, the following are addressed as part of deletion:

  • Active subscription: If you have an active subscription, it will be cancelled as part of the deletion process. Any refund due is calculated under our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Charging sessions already used are non-refundable as described in that policy.
  • Scheduled charging sessions: You must have no upcoming or in-progress charging sessions. Please complete or cancel any scheduled sessions before requesting deletion.

3. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

  • Your account is deactivated immediately upon request — you will be signed out and will no longer be able to sign in or book services.
  • Your personal data is permanently deleted within 7 days of your request.
  • This action cannot be undone. To use Charger on Wheels again after deletion, you will need to create a new account.

4. Data That We Retain

When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal information, including your profile, saved addresses, vehicle details, and account credentials.

Certain records that we are required by law to keep — such as transaction, invoice, and tax records — are retained for the period required under applicable Indian law (for example, financial and tax records may be retained for up to 8 years). These records are kept only for legal, accounting, and compliance purposes and are not used to provide any further service to you. They are deleted once the legal retention period ends.

Anonymised or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may be retained for analytics and service-improvement purposes.

5. Refunds on Deletion

If you have an active subscription at the time of deletion, any refund is determined under the Refund & Cancellation Policy, using your subscription transaction and charge-session usage. Deletion does not create any additional refund entitlement beyond that policy.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Account Deletion Policy from time to time. The current version is available in the app and on our website, with the “Last Updated” date revised accordingly.
